Getting it Together

This morning I awoke with a slightly brighter view of things. I spent quite a few (too many) hours yesterday doing some research into future options and then chose to sleep on the information. The stars must have aligned during the course of my slumber, as I logged in this morning to find paid work available! A few other things I currently have up in the air are starting to fall into place as well, and if this sudden new trend continues, I just may make it after all. A Job, Maybe

Yay! Finally secured a contract for a work-at-home position to hopefully help make up the income loss from the conclusion of my previous contract. Or maybe not. I officially signed the documents just yesterday, so I’m not sure yet what the deal is in relation to signing into the system and finding no work assigned to me. I’m grateful for the opportunity, but if I can’t get in clocked hours then it isn’t going to do me any good! I’m going to give it a couple of days and see if that changes. The decision in Whitewood vs. Wolf on May 20, 2014 has overturned Pennsylvania’s mini-DOMA, with no stay, and a subsequent announcement that Gov. Corbett would NOT file to appeal, suddenly throwing Pennsylvania into the ring as the 19th state in the country to permit and recognize same-sex marriages! Woot! Woot! I will be the first to admit it, despite wholeheartedly wanting gay marriage in Pennsylvania, I honestly thought it would be years and years until it ever happened.
