Today’s buzzword is “busy.” Maybe it’s “bizzy,” either way, that’s what’s going on lately. I’m wrapping up my final classes at school, registering for real estate courses outside of school, taking steps to increase my health (damn that cholesterol!), house-hunting, job-hunting, website-building, blog-researching, taxi-ing my kids back and forth to school and work (someone get a license soon, please!), playing nurse to my house full of sickies and attempting to fight off the hellacious cold virus they seem determined to share with me.
Yay! They’re sharing! <tic>
My head is constantly pounding, my nasal passages are screaming, my ears are buzzing and aching, and my chest feels tight and congested. I’m pretty sure I’m loosing the fight. Like most parents, I don’t have time to be sick, so I’m just going to keep on pushing through and hope for the best. I’m trying to limit the amount of OTC cold symptom medications I take to only when absolutely necessary because I have this (unfounded?) belief that it affects the amount of time the germie junk stays in my system. I have no interest in entertaining these little friggers for longer than necessary and don’t want to trap them in there. Needless to say, the box of Kleenex® beside me is my new best friend!
All that aside, the time has finally come to file my petition to graduate! It’s been a long journey during which I’ve gotten lost and been detoured more times than I can count. What matters here is that I’ve successfully reached my first goal set into motion, oh, about 20 years ago! Wow. Whatever. That’s the power of just keep keepin’ on!
