Oh, Sandy! The Saga Continues

Day four without electric or cable utilities. About to start going insane! Grateful everyone I love and care about weathered the storm well. 🙂

Yesterday I ventured out in search of a store that was not only open and able to do credit/debit transactions, but also had milk on their shelves! That was a pretty interesting trip. In town was pretty much dead and not a single store was open. Traffic lights were all out and parking lots were vacant. We saw lots of downed trees, roots and all, and broken branches everywhere. Clearly, our area collected more damage from the winds than anything else, despite all the flood warnings. It didn’t really look like there had been an awful lot of flooding in my direct area, though I know that in surrounding towns there was. There were a lot of utility clean up crews out and about, for which I am also grateful. That’s got to be a heck of a job …

I really don’t like blogging from my phone because I tend to mess up a lot, but I have no idea when my home will be getting power and Internet services back!

This year I signed up for NaNoWriMo, so I needed a little warm up before sitting down to attempt today’s 1,677 or so words!

Yes, this is rambling again. Perhaps incoherent! I assure you I am sober! LOL

Just have about a gazillion thoughts traveling around in my head this morning. It’s the side effect of having no distractions and way too much time to think (and analyze)!

Stay safe!
